Fuel woes!

This is in regard of the escalated prices of fuel in India. I am in a state of dilemma looking at the point put forward by the Government of India saying that they give huge subsidies to the people and take the brunt themselves and pass it on the economy.

That is what is told to us. My question is the taxes levied on each litre for petrol come upto about 30 odd rupees. Petrol in Pakistan is around 20 ruppes although the country doesen't have a democracy. So returning to my point, people in India are paying huge taxes and if the Government gives a 'subsidy' of about 2-5 rupees per litre, it isn't called a subsidy! It si what is called a discount. A subsidy actually refers to giving a commodity for say 4 ruppes when the Government buys it for say 5 rupees.

This surely is the Communist way of doing things. I would urge people not to be fooled by these false steps being taken by the goverment to give you some subsidies because it is a simple discount. 'After all MRP pe tol mol karne ka hamaara adhikar hai.' JAGO GRAHAK JAGO!!!!
